Billow

Privacy policy

What we collect, what we don't, and how we handle your data.

Last updated April 18, 2026

Billow is operated by Sinnoor C, based in India. The app is built around one promise: we never ask for your bank login and we never store your bank statement photos beyond the moment we need them. This policy explains how that promise maps to the data we actually handle.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect a stable account identifier and, optionally, the email or Apple / Google identity you sign in with. Inside the app, the subscriptions, renewal dates, prices, categories, and notes you create are stored locally on your device and, if you sign in, synced through our encrypted cloud backup so you can restore them on a new phone.

We collect standard diagnostic data — crash reports and anonymous product analytics via PostHog — to keep the app stable and improve the features you actually use.

Bank statement photos

When you use the AI statement scan, your photo is processed by a secure third-party AI processor — under a data processing agreement that prohibits reuse, training, or retention — solely to extract subscription data. We do not retain the image after the scan completes. The structured result — subscription name, price, billing cycle — is returned to your device and added to your list only if you confirm it.

What we don't do

  • We do not connect to your bank. There is no Plaid, no Open Banking, no credential sharing.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
  • We do not run third-party ad trackers or social pixels on the app or on trybillow.app.

Your rights

You can export your subscription list as CSV from inside the app. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account; deletion removes your synced records from our cloud backup. If you have a question or a data request, email us at hello@trybillow.app.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Billow is operated by Sinnoor C as an independent developer.
